The Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told the Komsomolskaya Pravda on Sunday that the United States is trying to "bail out" and "cover" itself and Ukraine after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall by mentioning the Islamic State.
"The American political engineers cornered themselves with their tales that the attack was carried out by ISIS," Zakharova stated, adding that the US sponsored "Ukrainian terrorism" in recent years by supplying the country with weapons and financial aid "without accountability," whilst also supporting "aggressive rhetoric" against Russia. She noted that the US intervention in the Middle East resulted in the emergence of several radical groups that are still present today, alleging that the US is trying to "reshape the world order by the hands of terrorists," as it cannot do so directly.
"Attention, a question for the White House: Are you sure it was ISIS, won’t you change your mind later?" she asked.
