Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, insisted on Monday that his country would not be willing to exchange territories and sovereignty for peace, claiming a "ceasefire and freezing the frontline will not end the war, but will only encourage Russia to the next level of crimes.
In a post on X, Podolyak called Russian President Vladimir Putin "totally impossible to negotiate with" and accused him of having "deliberately criminal intent."
Earlier this month, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba warned that there is a growing number of countries urging Ukraine to negotiate with Russia and insisted Kiev will "do everything within the framework of international law and criminal law to ensure that these voices fade away."
