Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on his country's allies on Friday to provide Kiev with 10 Patriot anti-ballistic missile systems amid Russia's latest attacks.
Zelensky called out Moscow for rejecting a ceasefire proposed by the United States a month ago, calling Russia the "sole cause" of the war.
"Without strength against Russia, there will be no will in Russia to accept and implement any realistic and effective proposals for peace," he pointed out in a speech from Kryvyi Rih that was targeted by a Russian ballistic missile last week. "I called on the participants of today's meeting of the Ramstein-format Contact Group to focus, first and foremost, on air defense for Ukraine. We truly need it. Ten Patriot systems – the free world has them. What is needed now are political decisions to make them work for peace," he insisted.
