Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to Kiev, calling him a "true friend to Ukraine."
The Ukrainian leader made the comments in a statement on Telegram, where he also shared a video of Johnson's arrival. In the clip, Johnson was seen sharing his reaction to ruins in the area. "Appaling," the former prime minister said about the sites, promising to do all in his power to help the country.
Earlier, Johnson was reportedly spotted walking through Borodyanka, a settlement completely demolished during the first stage of Russia's military operation in Ukraine.
