Zelensky calls for protecting energy facilities in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday called for strengthening the protection of Ukrainian energy facilities and restoring damaged infrastructure before the next heating season starts.

"We are working on all scenarios and will do everything to be ready to face any threat next winter," Zelensky stated in his nightly video address, noting that the preparations are already underway, and specific tasks have been identified. According to the leader, the conflict in Ukraine resulted in significant damage to the country's energy infrastructure, and it is essential to rebuild and repair it to ensure a stable and reliable energy supply.

United States President Donald Trump said to reporters on Air Force One that he believes progress is being made in resolving the Ukraine conflict."I think that everything is going well between Ukraine and Russia," Trump stated, promising that "you will know about it very soon." He added that "we will see what happens, but I think everything is going well."
