Zelensky concerned about US aid during elections

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky voiced his apprehension on Thursday regarding Washington's "different voices, some of them very strange" concerning United States support for Ukraine during next year's election.

Following his arrival at the European Political Community's meeting in Spain, Zelensky said to the press that, although Kiev received assurances of US President Joe Biden's backing and "bipartisan support by the Congress," he recognized that is "a difficult election period for the United States."

Furthermore, European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell warned that if Washington's political strife undermines its support for Ukraine, Europe cannot fill that gap.
