Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday signed bills to extend general mobilization and martial law in Ukraine for 90 days, from February 14 to May 13, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on his Telegram channel.
Ukraine implemented martial law for the first time on February 24, 2022, and the next day the Ukrainian president signed the decree on general mobilization. This is the tenth extension of both acts since the Russian-Ukrainian war began on February 22, 2022.
Previously, Zelensky reshuffled the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, removing Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhny and appointing Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi as his replacement.
