Zelensky hails productive talks at G7 summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday he said that he had productive meetings with several world leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

In an update on his first day at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Hiroshima, Japan he highlighted the key topics discussed during these meetings, including the Ukrainian "peace formula," discussions on defense and long-term support programs for Ukraine, as well as finance and the economy. Zelensky concluded his statement by expressing satisfaction with the powerful start to the G7 summit in Hiroshima and said he anticipates an even more impactful second day.
