"No one has been able to stop [Russian President Vladimir] Putin. Only [United States President Donald] Trump remains - he can stop him," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky underlined in a Saturday post on Telegram.
However, the Ukrainian head of state explained that for this to happen, "Putin must lose money," as that would impede him from boosting the military sector. Zelensky once again called for sanctions that would hit Russia's banking sector, shadow fleet, and oil sector. "It is very important to limit price caps, because oil is their main source of income. Due to what is happening in the Middle East now, oil prices have jumped even more, and this directly affects the security of Europe," he said.
The Ukrainian president stressed that the US' "warm conversation" with the Russian side won't stop Putin, adding that a "change in tone" is needed. He further asserted that aid cuts to Kiev would be "deeply unfair." Ukraine won't surrender, Zelensky underscored.
