Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (pictured) landed in the United States, NBC News announced Wednesday.

This will be the first known trip of the Ukrainian president outside the country since the beginning of the Russian invasion last February.

On his visit to the country, he is scheduled to hold a meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House and to address a joint session of the US House of Representatives.
