Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his nightly address said Odessa and other cities and villages nearby were left "in the dark" after Russia shelled the region using Iranian drones overnight.
"The situation in the Odessa region is very difficult," Zelensky stressed, noting that more than one and a half million people are currently without electricity" and that Ooly the critical infrastructure is connected. "In general, both emergency and stabilization shutdowns continue in various regions. The energy system is now, to put it mildly, very far from a normal state," he added.
Ukrainian officials on multiple occasions already claimed the country was targeted by Iranian-made Mohajer-6 and Shahed-136 drones, operated by the Russian army.
