Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his nightly address accused Russian forces of firing over 4,700 missiles at Ukraine since Moscow launched its military operation on February 24.
Zelensky proposed a "peace formula" for ending the conflict which would require restoring nuclear safety, food and energy security in Ukraine, releasing all prisoners of war, implementing the UN Charter and restoring Ukraine's territorial integrity. "It is quite constructive and realistic," Zelensky said about the plan, which he said was "in contrast to the empty and mendacious Russian rhetoric about their alleged readiness for some kind of negotiations."
Earlier on Sunday, Zelensky's adviser Mykhailo Podolyak told AFP that efforts to restart Russia-Ukraine negotiations are "bizarre" considering Kiev's advances on the frontline.
