Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the eastern Donetsk region on Saturday, meeting drone unit commanders near the embattled city of Pokrovsk.
"I received a report on the defense of the Pokrovsk direction," Zelensky wrote on X, adding he honored troops with state awards. He praised the Tactical Group Pokrovsk and the Drone Line, an elite cluster of unmanned systems teams within Ukraine's armed forces.
Earlier this month, Ukraine's defense ministry announced plans to acquire around 4.5 million first-person view drones in 2025, more than doubling last year's procurement, focusing on domestic production.
