Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (pictured right) welcomed his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinisto (pictured left) to Kiev on Tuesday, where the two leaders held a bilateral meeting.
"Today in Kiev, I reiterated Finland's strong and unwavering support for Ukraine for as long as needed," the president of Finland wrote on his Twitter page. "We discussed the current situation of the Russian-aggressor war and the support that Ukraine needs," he disclosed.
On January 20, Niinisto approved the government's proposal to allocate roughly €400 million in military support to Kiev, marking Finland's the largest aid package up to date.
