Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that "Easter statements by [Russian President Vladimir] Putin did not extend" to the regions of Kursk and Belgorod as "fighting continues" there, BBC reported.
"Russian artillery can still be heard in certain directions of the front, regardless of the Russian leader's promise of silence," Zelensky said, though he added that in some areas the situation "has become quieter."
Earlier, Ukraine's regional leader of Kherson, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that his region was under attack after the beginning of Putin's Easter truce, reporting at least three strikes.
