Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Thursday during a press conference that his country could sign a deal on the United States obtaining some of its minerals and rare earths during their online meeting today.
The two countries stopped and then revived their talks on the matter after Zelensky left the White House abruptly after disagreeing with US President Donald Trump on potential solutions to the conflict in Ukraine. Zelensky recently described the latest negotiations as having a positive note.
However, despite saying earlier that Ukraine accepted Washington's proposal of a ceasefire with Russia, at the latest conference, Zelensky accused US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff of spreading Moscow's propaganda.
