Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that there is "no space left for negotiations" with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
"Another kind of Russian terrorist attacks: targeting energy & critical infrastructure. Since Oct 10, 30% of Ukraine’s power stations have been destroyed, causing massive blackouts across the country. No space left for negotiations with Putin's regime," Zelensky tweeted.
The comments come as Russia continued to conduct rocket strikes on cities across Ukraine, including the capital Kiev. Earlier, Zelensky stated he could be open to talks with Russia, but not while Putin is in power. Meanwhile, Moscow stressed it is open to negotiations with Kiev but insisted Ukraine must be convinced by mediators to "stop the war that it unleashed back in 2014."
