Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi met on Saturday in Beijing and discussed the ongoing developments in the Middle East, including the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry's statement, the two officials agreed against foreign interference in the Middle East. Furthermore, they noted that the international community should play a constructive role in helping rebuild stability in the region.
Previously, Araghchi warned that the decisions regarding the Middle East, on that occasion namely Syria, should remain with the country's people.
