Amazon.com Inc. plans to contribute $1 million to United States President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.
The report comes after Amazon founder Jeff Bezos praised Trump's "extraordinary comeback" following his election win. Earlier, Bezos was seen as aligning with Trump after his newspaper, The Washington Post, chose not to endorse US Vice President Kamala Harris for president, despite previously only endorsing Democrats.
The news also follows Meta Platform Inc.'s $1 million pledge to Trump's inaugural fund, which was reported after CEO Mark Zuckerberg privately met with Trump.
