Australian officials received intelligence reports that Chinese espionage services used Huawei's staff's passwords to infiltrate a "foreign network," The Australian reported.

According to the report, Huawei personnel provided Chinese spies with passwords needed to hack the network. The alleged attack took place within the past two years.

Following allegations that Huawei and ZTE sabotage products in order to spy, Australia banned the telecommunications equipment providers from providing 5G technology equipment for a network that is set to launch next year.
