The United States Attorney General William Barr will talk whether the executive privilege was invoked by the White House in the report on Russia's alleged meddling in 2016 presidential elections at the upcoming press conference, a spokesperson for the Department of Justice (DoJ) said on Thursday.
Further, Barr plans to elaborate on the communications between the Trump administration and the DoJ which followed the delivery of the Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report several weeks ago.
Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer previously urged Mueller to publicly testify before Congress in order to "begin restoring public trust" in the handling of the Russia investigation.
