United States President Joe Biden denied rumors on Wednesday that he is considering pulling out of the presidential race and insisted he is in it "to the end."
"Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can — as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running…no one is pushing me out. I'm not leaving. I'm in this race to the end and we're going to win," Biden stated during an unexpected appearance at a Zoom call with campaign and Democratic National Committee (DNC) staff.
Earlier in the day, a report by the New York Times claimed Biden told an adviser he is weighing the option of exiting the race, while other media reports suggested a group of House Democrats is considering writing a letter to the president to ask him to drop out after seeing his less-than-impressive performance at the first debate with GOP candidate Donald Trump.
