United States President Joe Biden told his allies from Europe and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) that Russia could invade Ukraine by February 16, Politico reported.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Biden warned the other leaders the invasion could be preceded by "missile strikes" and cyberattacks. He called on his counterpart to be prepared for such an event, impose sanctions if necessary, and show unity on the matter.
The report comes after US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Russia could launch an invasion of Ukraine by the end of the 2022 Winter Olympics on February 20. Russia rejected the claims as proof that "the Anglo-Saxons want a war."
