United States President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that he is going to ask Congress later this week for an "unprecedented" package of defense aid for Israel amid the conflict with Hamas. "We're going to keep the Iron Dome fully supplied so it can continue standing sentinel over the Israeli skies, saving Israeli lives," he said, referring to Israel's air defense system.

"The world will know that Israel is stronger than ever," Biden said, warning other "hostile actors" against attacking Israel. However, he said Israel must "keep pursuing peace" and expressed support for the two-state solution. "We must keep working for Israel's greater integration with its neighbors," he said, adding that these attacks "only strengthen my determination, my commitment and my will to get that done."
