United States President Joe Biden urged the House of Representatives in a statement to further approve the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 and send it for signing as soon as possible after the Senate previously passed the package by 51-50.
"I ran for President promising to make government work for working families again, and that is what this bill does," underlined Biden, thanking "Leader Schumer and every member of the Senate Democratic caucus for supporting this bill. It required many compromises. Doing important things almost always does."
Biden noted that the bill is "the largest investment ever in combatting the existential crisis of climate change," adding that it will lower the energy costs for families "by hundreds of dollars each year."
