United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken welcomed on Friday Israel's decision to open the Erez border crossing as well as the Ashdod port that will allow a higher volume of humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip.
"These are positive developments. But the real test is results and that's what we are looking to see in the coming days and weeks," he said during a press conference.
In relation to the Israeli strike that killed World Central Kitchen's staff, the US official once again stressed that Washington wants to see "an independent, thorough and fully publicized investigation ... and accountability."
