Blinken: Other countries appreciate US exposing China

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in an interview with ABC aired on Sunday that other countries "appreciate" that Washington has "exposed" China’s spy balloons, after sharing that new information suggested Beijing could provide "lethal support" to Russia in the Ukraine war.

Addressing the ballon incident, Blinken stated that he heard "real concern from other countries" during the Munich Security Conference about the Chinese program he claimed "has been around for a few years," noting that the flying objects flew over the territory of over 40 countries.

The secretary previously told CBS News that while Chinese companies were already providing "non-lethal support" to Russia, the US is now concerned that Beijing is considering sending lethal weapons, warning of "serious consequences." Earlier today, China warned that the US should seek to remedy the relations between the two countries.
