United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday that Israel has to present a clear plan for its announced military operation in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, stressing that the US is still waiting to see that plan.
"We have to see a clear and implementable plan, not only to get civilians out of harm's way but also to make sure that once out of harm's way, they are appropriately cared for, with shelter, with food, with medicine, with clothing, and we've not yet seen such a plan," Blinken said at a joint press conference with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg.
Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the plans for a military operation in Rafah, without specifying when would it start.
