European Union foreign ministers reached a political agreement to expand the existing sanctions on Iran's drones, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell told reporters on Monday.

Speaking in Luxembourg, Borrell confirmed that the export restrictions would guarantee that EU-made components are not used for the making of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones.

The move comes as a response to Tehran's latest attack on Israel, which caused a commotion in the Middle East.
