Branson teases 'exciting' announcement after spaceflight

Business magnate Richard Branson said he is "so proud and excited" following the announcement that he will join Virgin Galactic's next spaceflight on July 11. Branson added he will "announce something very exciting to give more people the chance to become an astronaut," without providing more details.

The flight will be the company's first with a full crew, including two pilots and four mission specialists. "After 17 years of research, engineering and innovation, Virgin Galactic stands at the vanguard of a new commercial space industry poised to open the universe to humankind and change the world for good," Branson stated.
