China's Ambassador to the United States Qin Gang denied on Sunday claims that China is providing military assistance to Russia and insisted Beijing will "do everything to deescalate the crisis." He stated China sends "foods, medicine, sleeping bags and the baby formula, not weapons and ammunition to any party and we are against a war."
He added China "has normal trade, economic, financial, energy cooperation" with Russia and that condemning Russia's operations in Ukraine "doesn't solve the problem." Instead, "what we need is good diplomacy based on vision, wisdom, and courage," he told CBS News.
