The Chinese government announced on Tuesday that the time that travelers from abroad have to spend in isolation and home health monitoring due to coronavirus will be decreased.
The previous rule required two-week "centralized isolation medical observation" and week-long home health monitoring, while the new regulation will introduce seven-day medical quarantine and three-day home monitoring. In addition, testing rules while in quarantine will be slightly relaxed.
Also, the authorities will loosen criteria that they use to determine whether an area is high-, medium-, or low-risk and what lockdown measures will be imposed in which regions. The government will also adjust the frequency of nucleic acid testing for "high-risk occupational groups."
