China sets 2023 GDP growth at 5%

China's National People's Congress (NPC) announced during its 14th session it projected the country's gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by 5% in 2023.

The NPC also declared 3% as the target for both inflation growth and budget deficit.

Previously, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicted China's economy will grow by 5.2% in 2023.
