The Cyberspace Administration of China pledged in a statement on Friday to tighten the oversight over short-video sharing platforms during the next two months.
China's central internet regulator will, among other things, review the question of responsibility for sharing illegal and improper content, the statement read.
Earlier this week, the country's National Radio and Television Administration said platforms of all kinds are forbidden to livestream games that haven't been approved by related authorities.
