Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday that balloons from the United States entered its airspace over 10 times in the last year. Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said Washington should "reflect on itself" after the US shot down a fourth unidentified object flying over North America in two weeks.

Weng criticized the "excessive force" after an "advanced missile" was used to down China's "civilian unmanned airship" on February 4 but did not comment on the other three objects. He accused the US of being "the world's largest surveillance country, with the world's largest spy network" and of installing "monitoring equipment in nearly 100 of its embassies and consulates abroad to steal secrets from the host country."
