The People's Bank of China (PBoC) kept its benchmark interest rates unchanged on Thursday, matching market expectations.

The 1-year Loan Prime Rate (LPR), which influences corporate loans and the 5-year LPR, which serves as a benchmark for mortgage rates, thus remained at 3.10% and 3.60%, respectively.

PBoC's decision came after the United States Federal Reserve held benchmark interest rates steady.
