China's GDP grows 5.4% in Q4

China's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 5.4% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2024, the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported on Friday.

The growth exceeded investor expectations, rising by 0.8 percentage points from the 4.6% growth in the third quarter.

On a quarterly basis, China's GDP grew by 1.6%.
