China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI) for manufacturing landed in the contractionary territory in July, according to a report released on Wednesday by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP).
The data, compiled by the NBS, showed the headline figure at 49.4, below the neutral 50, which marks an overall production decline in the sector, with the figure decreasing further compared to last month's 49.5.
The official non-manufacturing PMI for the month stood at 50.2.
