Retail sales of consumer goods for July in China landed above analysts' projections, increasing by 2.7% compared to the same time last year, the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported on Thursday. Month-on-month, retail trade grew by 0.35%.
Catering increased by 3% on a yearly basis. Retail sales of consumer goods rose by 2.4% in urban areas year-on-year and by 4.6% in rural areas.
In the first seven months, the total retail sales of consumer goods increased by 3.5% year-on-year.
