United States dollar declined on Monday and approached one-month lows against a number of other currencies as several American banks continued to suffer serious issues, with investors seemingly questioning the health of the overall US economy and reassessing the likelihood of a recession.
The euro gained 0.83% against the greenback, selling for 1.07240 at 10:49 am ET and the British pound increased by 1.07% to $1.21526 at the same time. The US currency dropped 1.57% compared to the Japanese yen, changing hands for 132.7445 at 10:50 am ET.
