Dominion Voting Systems filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News over its claims that the company helped rig the 2020 election.
The company is suing Fox News for $1.6B and argued that the media outlet "sold a false story of election fraud in order to serve its own commercial purposes, severely injuring Dominion in the process." Dominion's attorney Justin Nelson added, "this was a conscious, knowing business decision to endorse and repeat and broadcast these lies in order to keep its viewership."
Dominion has already filed lawsuits over the allegations that it influenced the 2020 election against Rudy Giuliani, and the MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. Fox News is currently being sued by another voting company Smartmatic SGO Group over the same issue.
