Speaking to the Italian parliament on Wednesday, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi called on China not to provide any support to Russia in its military operation in Ukraine and to contribute to restoring peace in the region.
Noting that Moscow did not seriously seem to be interested in negotiating an end to the conflict, Draghi emphasized the need for the European Union to develop adequate military capacities so that it could assume the role of a credible security provider in future crises.
