eBay Inc. said on Wednesday that its revenue in the fourth quarter of its fiscal 2022 amounted to $2.5 billion, falling 4% compared to the same period a year earlier.
GAAP income from continuing operations landed at $671 million, or $0.1.23 per diluted share, improving from a loss of $893 million reported in the corresponding quarter of 2021, and adjusted net income dropped 10% to $581 million. For full fiscal 2022, eBay's revenue declined 6% to $9.8 billion and GAAP loss from continuing operations stood at $1.3 billion, while adjusted net income slid 13% to $2.3 billion.
"In 2022, we made significant progress on our multi-year strategic journey," CEO Jamie Iannone stated. "Our focus category playbook continues to drive underlying growth in our business and the investments we've made in core technology are enabling us to innovate on behalf of our customers more quickly," he added.
eBay shares climbed 2.93% in after-hours trading following the release of the results.
