An Egyptian delegation, led by Abbas Kamel, the Head of Egypt's Intelligence Directorate, is scheduled to travel to Tel Aviv today to continue ceasefire and hostage release talks in the ongoing conflict in Gaza, as reported by Qatari news agency Al-Araby Al-Jadid on Friday.
During the visit, Kamel will hold meetings with David Barnea, the Chief of Mossad, and Tzachi Hanegbi, the National Security Adviser. The report also stated that Egypt aims to secure a ceasefire agreement that would prevent Rafah's invasion.
Israel has recently lowered its claims to the release of 20 hostages alive as long as those released are either women, men over 50 years old, or those who are seriously ill. Despite conflicting reports, the same media outlet claimed that Hamas was willing to accept the previous demand of 40 during the initial phase of the ceasefire.
