Natural gas in storage across the United States stood at 2,891 billion cubic feet in the week ending December 30, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed in its report published on Thursday.
The figure marks a net decrease of 221 billion cubic feet compared to the week prior.
On an annual basis, the natural gas stockpiles fell by 308 billion cubic feet and were 208 billion cubic feet below the five-year average of 3,099 billion cubic feet. The total working gas, however, remained within the five-year historical range
