EU approves 7th package of Russia sanctions

The European Union adopted on Wednesday the seventh package of sanctions against Russia. According to Lithuania’s Permanent Representative to the EU Arnoldas Pranckevicius, the new round of measures includes a ban on Russian gold, freezing the assets of Sberbank, as well as improved export controls.

In addition, the sanctions will add more than 50 Russian individuals and entities to the list, "including politicians, military leaders, oligarchs, propagandists."

Russia downs 13 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russian forces downed 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.Of the 13 drones, 11 were intercepted over the region of Rostov, one was shot down over the region of Belgorod and one Ukrainian drone was destroyed over the region of Bryansk.
