European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed on Wednesday the bloc plans to introduce more sanctions against Russia, possibly including against Russian oil.
"These sanctions will not be our last sanctions... Now we have to look into oil and revenues Russia gets from fossil fuels," Von der Leyen said before the European Parliament during her presentation of the sanctions package containing the ban on Russian coal imports.
While the European Union agreed to stop relying on Russian energy products, Germany insisted it's impossible to halt imports of Russian oil and gas at this moment.
