The Eurozone's unemployment rate stood at 6.1% in February, down by 0.1 percentage point from January and down by 0.4 percentage points compared to February 2024, Eurostat said in a report on Tuesday.
The European Union saw a 5.7% unemployment rate in February, down 0.1 percentage point monthly and down 0.4 percentage point from a year ago. The unemployment figure was 10,580 in the euro area and 12,677 in the EU.
Unemployment in the Eurozone fell by 131,000 compared to January and 643,000 compared to February 2024. Spain had the highest unemployment rate in the Eurozone in February at 10.4%, followed by Sweden at 9%. Czechia and Malta recorded the lowest rate at 2.7%.
