Major European stock markets opened the session on Monday with losses amid the latest European data set for release this week and the situation in Ukraine. Germany is set to publish its Bundesbank Monthly Report during the day, which will present new data regarding the country's economic situation this summer.
Frankfurt's DAX opened the session plunging by 0.45%, while Covestro went down by 1.56%. The CAC 40 dropped by 0.78% at the opening, with ArcelorMittal falling by 1.25%. London's FTSE 100 fell by 0.46%. BP PLC marked a decrease of 1.43%.
The euro lost 0.12% against the American dollar, to change hands to $1.00245 at 9:01 am CET. At the same time, the pound sterling plummeted by 0.16% against the greenback, going to $1.18110.
