The European Commission in its preliminary report published on Friday revealed that the consumer confidence index in the Eurozone worsened in December.
The index stood at negative 14.5 points in the Eurozone and negative 13.4 points in the EU, representing a decrease of 0.7 and 1.0 points, respectively, compared to the month prior.
Consumer sentiment fell for the second month in a row to sink further below the long-term average.
